Project Info

Project scope consisted of eliminating one of the five eastbound SR 84 ramps, which transitions in two lanes, causing major congestion in the morning, peak-hour traffic. The 3D model was created within days, and was instrumental in determining the length of retaining wall needed for structures design. Structures was able to immediately start working on the retaining wall design, thus cutting crucial project time off the project schedule. The 3D model was also used to help revise the existing super elevation at two locations to correct imperfections on the existing super elevations.
